ABOUT DAVID BLAKE

David Blake first started taking pictures when he was 15 in High School.  While attending school, he was also photographing weddings part time and became a freelance newspaper and commercial photographer.  He then went on to study photography and  film  production in college.

His interest and training in photography and the film business, took him to opening a Modeling/Talent Agency.  For over 4 years, both he and his staff booked actors in: network TV Commercials, Feature Films and catalog assignments.  He's a very "hands on" person and when he didn't have the right actors or models for a specific job, was instrumental in finding that talent "wherever" he could.  Often, he would approach people on the street if he felt they "fit the role" for a specific job he was working on!  He also has worked with dance schools (to find and end up booking! dancers and in once case, the choreographer for a Ritz Crackers Network TV commercial!).  As part of his Agency, he also had Casting Facilities, which were used by Directors and Producers to cast Commercials and Films, working with actors such as:  Liam Neison, Sigorney Weaver, Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg, Leonard Nimoy and others


He has been shooting:  Weddings, Events, Promotional photography (for bands such as Los Lobos and 98 degrees), Actor's headshots in Los Angeles, Model's portfolios and family portraits for over 27 years. He has worked in: Beverly Hills/Ca, Newport Beach/CA, Richmond/VA, Ft. Lauderdale/FL, Palm Springs/CA and has recently taken up residency in Las Vegas/NV. 


David also shoots charity events.  Recent events include: Nevade Homeless Youth, The "Heart Gallery"/Clark County Children's Aid (traveling exhibit of photos of kids/teens in the Adoption System),  Toys for Tots and the USO.
